Phone can be washed with soap! This might seem bit odd and hard to believe. But it’s true. KDDI and Kyocera, the two tech product providers have lately announced of a new Phone which they claim to be the world’s first to be washed with a soap. The Smartphone has been codenamed Digno Rafre and is quite different from devices that we usually know to be water-proof, dust-proof and shock-proofed. This phone is also hot water resistant at 43-degrees Celsius which will be more applicable for the users to wash the handset using soap.
Apart from being soap-proof, the Digno Rafre Smartphone is also shock-proof and you can even operate it in wet hands. To protect the glass of your device, the company has integrated Dragontrail X glass coating and it features a self-healing rear panel which heals itself if gets scratched. This type of panel we had seen before in LG G Flex smartphones. The Smartphone will be made available in a number of color variants such as Coral Pink, Cashmere White, and Marin Navy, and is scheduled for launch on December 11 in Japan at a price tag of JPY 57,420 (around Rs. 32.300).
Now turning to the specs and features of the Android device, it boasts of a 5″ TFT LCD display with 720×1280 pixels HD resolution. The Smartphone runs the popular Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and supports 2GB of RAM. For providing the users with enough data space, the Smartphone packs 16GB of onboard storage space and it can also further be extended upto 128GB using a microSD card. Besides, it packs a 13MP rear cam and supports a 3000mAh battery for providing up to 20 hrs. of talk time. The different connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, and USB. It measures 71x141x10.1mm and weighs just 155 grams.
However, these are only the specs that are on news. But the exact features and specs will only be known once the Digno Rafre is made to public. So if you live in Japan, then cross your fingers to get yet another extravagant device.
