After you updated your iOS device to iOS 10, the YouTube background playback stopped working. You have looked for the cause, and the fixes, but there is not effective. However, we now find a solution to help you fix this issue.
All of us know that it’s now impossible to listen to music on YouTube after leaving the app open unless you subscribe to YouTube Red about $9.99 per month or use a third-party app. A popular way that many users usually use to bypass the background playback restriction is using YouTube web version on Safari. When you access m.youtube.com, you can use the Youtube web version. After exiting the Safari app, the video will stop playing, but you just open the Control Center and tap on the Play button. So that you continue playing YouTube in the background.
Unfortunately, this method has been fixed from iOS 10 version. You will no longer use the background playback via m.youtube.com on your Safari browser. However, that doesn’t mean other browsers such as Google Chrome and Safari get the same restriction.
In this post, we’ll show you how to make the YouTube background playback on the iOS 10 version.

Now you should notice that if the Play button doesn’t show a blank page, it means you can start playing now. In case none of above browsers works, we recommend you to use another app called Dolphin Web Browser.
