Samsung to Showcase the Galaxy Camera 2 at CES 2014 to be held in Las Vegas

Prior to this we had informed you about the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 that was launched by Samsung the previous week as the successor of the Galxy Camera which was first launched by Samsung in IFA, the previous year. And what the latest reports reveal, the techno giant is all set to showcase the Galaxy Camera 2 in CES 2014, scheduled to be held in Las Vegas this week. While CES is considered to be the biggest consumer electronics product show in the world, we suppose this decision of Samsung will of course take the device to the next level.

However, we had already given you a detail on the varied specs and features of the device in the last article based on the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2. But here we bring you a soft detail of the device. Most important part of the camera is its 16.3 MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor with 21x optical zoom which in itself is a giant to capture eloquent pictures for you. Above all the camera is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. The device supports 2GB of RAM and 8 GB of Internal storage space with an expandable 64GB microSD card. Apart it features a number of connectivity options such as WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth & GPS.

However, it has not been clarified yet if the device is going to feature a SIM slot which was available in the initial Galaxy Camera. But because the device doesn’t support the 3G/LTE option, we hope it might bring in the SIM card feature along with it. Anyways, everything will be clarified the day it will be showcased at the CES 2014. Commenting on the motto of the successor of Galaxy Camera, Executive Vice President and Head of the Imaging Business Team at Samsung Electronics, Mr. Myoung Sup Han said that the device has been developed as an updated version to the initial version and its motto is to provide the users with enhanced photography experience.

Conversely, Samsung is mum on the price and availability aspects of the camera yet what we supposed to be clarified on the date of its showcasing at the CES. So the only thing we can do in the meantime is to wait and watch still the final revelations come out.
