All wait is over and finally Samsung has started rolling the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS in Europe starting with Germany and Italy. Remember, yesterday I had informed that Samsung had started rolling the Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy A3 Smartphone in Europe. And now Marshmallow update for the Galaxy A5 Smartphone is being rolled. Marshmallow update for the said device in Germany and Italy is rolled barley after 5 days the update was rolled to the Galaxy S5 users in India and Sri Lanka. The previous month the Marshmallow update was rolled for the Galaxy S5 handset in South Korea.
If compared the galaxy S5 users in Italy are more fortunate than the users in Germany as the update for all the unlocked variants of galaxy S5 is rolled in Germany whereas in Italy its rolled only for the SM-G900F variant. Because the update has started rolling today, so it might take sometimes as usual before it reaches your device. Some of the users might have already received the notification even. So if you have already received the firmware, then you need to install it on your device by downloading the firmware from Samsung servers and following the instruction that appears on your screen.
But if you have not received the update yet, then nothing to worry as it might hit your device at any moment. Also you can manually check availability of the firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S5 by visiting the Settings>About Device>Software Update sections in your device. And if it’s available, then download and install it on your device. But before the download, remember to connect your handset to WiFi to avoid unnecessary usage of mobile data. We say this because the firmware is almost 1GB in size.
Well, you must be looking forward to know what extra features you will get in your Samsung Galaxy S5 post update. Be informed that your handset will be loaded with dozens of Marshmallow goodies that include Google Now on Tap, Superior battery life, Doze Mode, enhanced app permission system and the powerful TouchWiz UI. The update will also have many more powerful features that you can mark after updating your Smartphone to the new firmware.
So is there anyone who has already updated their Samsung Galaxy S5 to the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. If yes, then let’s know how is your mobile experience with the new firmware.
