Just after Samsung officially announced the trio Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017), and Galaxy A7 (2017) yesterday, the South Korean company also confirmed the recommended retail price for the EU market, and unveiled that only the new duo A3 and A5 models would be landed on Europe. And one UK online retailer, MobileFun, has recently allowed users to take pre-orders for the duo. Let’s take a look about the upcoming duo A series smartphone of Samsung.
To get started with the middle member of the new trio A series, Galaxy A5 (2017) flaunts a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen. It is powered by an Exynos 7880 8 Cortex-A53 cores chipset, which is clocked at 1.9GHz, packed with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expandable via a microSD slot.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has a couple of 16MP cameras, one for each side with the F/1.9 fast aperture. The battery capacity inside stops at 3,000mAh, but it’s integrated the Fast charging. There will be four-color options available: Black, Blue, Pink, and Gold.

While the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is the smallest of the bunch, when it just comes with a 4.7” 720p Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a slightly slower 1.6GHz octa-core Soc, packed with 2GB and 16GB of internal storage. The cameras has also lower resolution with 13MP at the back and 8MP at the front. Both of them will come with F/1.9 apertures as well, like on the Galaxy A5 (2017). The smaller size screen also meant it’s just equipped with a 2,350mAh battery without the Fast Charging. And the color options are the same with them on Galaxy A5 (2017).
All two new models will come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance and the fingerprint scanners embedded in their home buttons. They will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of box and support Samsung Pay as well as LTE connectivity. The metal bodies are just 7.9mm thick and the USB Type-C connectors appear on all of them.
The price tag will be €329 and €429 for the A3 and A5 in the UK market. And although this move unfortunately hasn’t revealed when they will go on sale in the UK, the prices are out.
