Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 4 at its pre-IFA 2014 event, Samsung has also launched a smartphone with a side display called the Galaxy Note Edge along with the Note 4 at the event. The Galaxy Note 4 will hit the markets worldwide starting from the month of October. The Note 4 will be offered in Charcoal Black, Frost White, Bronze Gold and Blossom Pink shades to choose from.
Features of Galaxy Note 4
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 sports a 5.7-inch Quad-HD (1440×2560 pixel) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 515ppi. The capacitive touchscreen comes with corning Gorilla glass 3 protection . It weighs 176 grams, and is 8.5mm-thick. The processor will be powered by either a 2.7GHz quad-core processor or a 1.9GHz octa-core processor. Both models will be getting the same 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has got 32 GB internal storage space which can be expandable upto 64 Gb via micro SD card.The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.
On the back ,the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features a 16-megapixel autofocus camera with Smart OIS, and it has got a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/1.9 lens. The other features of the camera include Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, panorama and HDR. Connectivity features of the galaxy Note 4 include bluetoothv4, GPS/ Glonass, NFC, Wi-fi 802.11 a/ b/ g/ n/ ac, IR LED, USB 2.0, and MHL 3.0. The Note 4 has 3.5mm jack but has no FM support.
The Galaxy Note 4 has got a range of sensors which include gyroscope, accelerometer, geo-magnetic, RGB, IR-LED, barometer, proximity, hall sensor, finger scanner, heart rate monitor, UV. It packs a 3220mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with the new S Pen stylus with improved pressure sensitivity. The Note 4 has also got the new Smart Select feature, new calligraphy and signing pen writing options. Depending on the region, the Galaxy Note 4 will be available in 4G LTE and 4G LTE Cat.6 variants.
Features of Galaxy Note Edge
Conversely, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a 5.6 inches Super AMOLED curved display with 16mm colors and 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. The Note is powered by a 2.7 Ghz krait processor and supports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 80 chipset with Adreno 420 GPU. The Android device runs on the out-of-the-box KitKat 4.4.4 OS. For memory, it features 3 GB RAM with 32/64 GB of in-built storage space which you can extend up to 128 GB via a micoSD card. To bless the users with crystal clear pics, the device supports a 16 MP rear camera with some eloquent credentials like optical image stabilization, autofocus, and LED flash. Wanna make a video call, you can make it with the front facing 3.7 MP camera of the Galaxy Note Edge.
Apart, the Galaxy Note Edge supports almost all connectivity features such as 2G, 3G, 4G, WLAN, Bluetooth, Infared, NFC, USB, EDGE and GPRS etc. along with a 3000 mAh battery. Among other features, the Note device supports a number of sensors such as Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, UV, heart rate, and SpO2. The Galaxy Note Edge packs a number of in-built softwares including Smart Select, Multi-Window, Air Command, and S Note. It will be made available in both black and white colors and is expected to cost around Rs. 55,000. Rest of the features you will be aware of once you put your hands on the device.
