Meizu is not a famous Chinese smartphone manufacture, but with the new Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus, they are bringing the company to a higher position. The Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus are identical smartphones and different by their sizes.
The front of the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus is made impressive by their displays. The Pro 7 fatures a 5.2″ FHD Super AMOLED display, while the Pro 7 Plus sports a larger 5.7″ QHD Super AMOLED display. However, the most interesting thing comes from its back panel. Both smartphones flaunt a 2″ Super AMOLED secondary display. Because it is an AMOLED display, so you can use it to display the information with full color and control, including media controls, notifications. The display can also be used as a viewfinder for the rear camera.
In terms of internal hardware, Meizu announces that the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus are both equipped the deca-core MediaTek Helio X30 SoC. The standard Pro 7 version is packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, while the Pro 7 Plus sprots 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage options. The battery on Pro 7 is a smaller 3000 mAh capacity with Meizu’s mCharge 3.0 fast charging standard, while the Pro 7 Plus is powered by a bigger 3500 mAh with the later mCharge, 4.0 charging. Both phones will come with a USB Type-C port and especially the 3.5mm headphone jack stills remain. Furthermore, Meizu said that they have interpreted a separate audio processing chip on both smartphone. The Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will be shipped with Android 7.0 based on Meizu’s FlymeOS 6 UX on top.

In camera department, there is a dual rear camera setup at the back, including two 12MP Sony IMX386 sensors with f/2.0 aperture, the first one is for RGB while the other is for monochrome image. The front camera is an impressive 16MP sensor, but as the secondary display can act as a viewfinder, so you can take advantage of the rear cameras for the selfie purpose.
On the official Twitter page, Meizu does not mention any information on the price and the availability, but some rumors mention that the devices will go on sale from 5th August 2017 with the starting price at ~$430 for Pro 7, while the Pro 7 Plus night start at ~$530. The price difference will be better justified if the Pro 7 is equipped the Helio P25 instead of the Helio X30 SoC. However, Meizu has not yet to confirm the same. The phones are rumored to only be launched China and some Asian countries when they officially go on sale.
