After the official introduction at the MWC this year two months, LG today finally launched its G6 flagship smartphone in Indian market. The G6 will go on sale in three color options including Ice Platinum, Astro Black, and Mystic White. According to some previously rumors, the LG G6 will be priced at Rs51,990 in India, which is lower than what the cost of Samsung Galaxy S8. The G6 is first LG’s flagship model with a ‘bezel-less’ at front, highlighting a high 80.3% screen-to-body ratio. The device features a 5.7-inch IPS QHD+ display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. What is slightly disappointing is that instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, the G6 is only powered by last year’s Snapdragon 821 octa-core chipset, with the Adreno 530 GPU for handling the graphics. In terms of memory, the handset includes 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal UFS 2.0 storage, which can be expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card. As for the camera, the LG G6 features a 13MP dual-camera setup. For selfies, the handset comes with a wide-angel 5MP snapper on the front with a 100-degree lens. Other hardware features include a 3300mAh capacity battery with Quick Charge 3.0, a USB Type-C port, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP68 standard for dust and water resistance, and a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC for better music experience. The G6 currently runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS, with LG’s new UX 6.0 custom skin and will be updated to Android 7.1.1 soon.
