Instagram follows Facebook’s footsteps; Introduces Translation Button and “Picked For You” Video Feaure

Instagram, the popular Video and Photo sharing Social Media platform has lately come up with a brand new feature called the new ‘Picked For You’ channel in the Explore Tab to manifest video viewing. Yes, this feature is purely dedicated just to Videos inside the App. The new channel functions collating the videos based on the User’s’ interest and their most chosen topics. Reportedly, the new feature is arriving in the United States soon Over the Air, but there is no official confirmation if it’s going to be made available to user in the other regions of the globe.

As informed earlier, this ‘Picked For You’ channel feature is going to be located somewhere in the Explore Tab with all other contents. This is a widely accepted step by by Instagram to prioritized on video consumption by users. With the growing popularity for videos in Social Media platforms, this thought  by Instagram definitely vibes positive. Before also we have seen the techno giant introducing two Video centred features i.e. the ‘Videos You Might Like’ curator and the “Featured” Channel like YouTube to attract more Video lovers. Both these features are located in the same Explore Tab only.

Apart from the said feature, Instagram also has announced the Translation feature following the footsteps of Facebook. While Facebook for some days is translating comments & posts in its platform, so Instagram is also supposed to roll the same feature someday in the following month. Opining on the translation feature, the company notes, “In the coming month, you’ll see a translation button on feed stories and profile bios written in languages different from your own. The Instagram community has grown faster and become more global than we ever imagined. And we’re excited that you’ll soon be able to understand the full story of a moment, no matter what language you speak.”

To cope of with User’s interest Instagram lately has changed the User Interface and and the Logo of its  app. Now it’s to be seen what new features the company is planning for its users in the coming days!
