Some days before the MWC 2017 last month, a new Huawei’s smartphone, called the P10 Lite had been leaked online. But the smartphone wasn’t officially introduced at MWC this year, as Huawei only announced the duo P10 and P10 Plus flagship handsets at that event. However, An European retailer has recently listed the unannounced smartphone for pre-order with a rather high price tag on its online website. In addition to the new retailer listing, an alleged slide unveiling the key specs of the Huawei P10 Lite smartphone has been leaked on the web as well.
According to the leaked slide, the Huawei P10 Lite will come with an ultra-slim glass design, which is slightly different from its more expensive brother: P10 and P10 Plus. In terms of memory, the P10 Lite is expected to come equipped 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be seen as a standard of an upper mid-range handset launched in 2017. Powering the device will be the in-house Huawei’s Kirin 655 octa-core SoC under the hood, which is similar performance to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset appearing a number of mid-range Android smartphones.

The slide also suggests that the smartphone features impressive cameras both on the front and at back. It has been unveiled that the Huawei P10 Lite would sport a single 12MP resolution camera at the back, with an f/2.0 aperture lens, while on the front is an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Keeping the lights on will be a 3000mAh non-removable battery capacity with the quick charging support. A “fast” fingerprint scanner is positioned at the back instead of embedding in the Home button like on P10 and P10 Plus. As for software, the device will be similar to the P10 and P10 Plus, as it runs on the Huawei’s EMUI 5.0 custom layer on top based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. There will be three-color options at the launch including: Black, White, and Gold.
