How to install CM14.1 Nightly on Motorola Moto G4 Plus

Great news for Motorola Moto G4 Plus users! if you are interested in enjoying a smoother, more powerful and higher Android version on your device along with official Android 7.0 Nougat on your device, today, we have a new great Nougat ROM is available for the Motorola Moto G4 Plus. The Custom ROM is Android 7.1 Nougat ROM and based on the newest CyanogenMod builds. This new ROM contains the latest features of Android 7.1 Nougat on Motorola Moto G4 Plus.

Because it’s not an official update, so it might void the warranty of your Motorola Moto G4 Plus. However, before installing the Custom ROM, you need to install the latest TWRP Custom Recovery image on your handset. The new Android firmware will bring many changes in your handset and make it more noteworthy to use. Steps to flash Android 7.1 Nougat on Motorola Moto G4 Plus

  • First, download the Android 7.1 Nougat CM14.1 ROM and Gapps file for your G4 Plus
  • Connect your device to your PC using a USB cable and transfer the Custom 7.1 Nougat CM 14.1 ROM and the Gapps files to the SD card/ internal storage of your device. After that power off your handset, and put it into recovery mode.
  • In Recovery mode, cselect wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and then wipe dalvik cache options from the TWRP recovery menu
  • Select “Install .zip from SD Card” option and choose the Rom file
  • Now tap on Install and wait until the files flashed on your Moto G4 Plus one after another.
  • Once done, go back to the recovery menu and select “reboot system now”.
