Every Windows 10 computer comes with the pre-installed apps and games. Microsoft is trying to improve Windows OS with the pre-installed apps such as Mail, Calendar, Photos, Movies & TV apps, etc, which are good to use. But if you don’t use them, you will feel they hog the storage space on your computer and act as placeholders in the Start Menu.
So in this post, we’ll show you how to remove the pre-installed apps and games from your Windows 10 computer.
How to Remove Apps & Games
To delete the pre-installed apps and games from your Windows 10, just the Start (Windows) button the keyboard or click on the Start button at the bottom-left corner to open the Start area.
Now, type Add or Remove programs in the search box and hit Enter.
Here, find any app or game you want to remove from your computer. Simply click on its icon.
Select the Uninstall button to remove it from the system.
Wait a few moments to remove the app. You can also continue to scroll down the list and remove apps and games you don’t want to use anymore. Although uninstalling them is not harmful to your PC, you should still avoid removing the default utilities to keep your system running smoothly.
Some PC manufacturers don’t install a full app or game on your system. Instead, they fill Start with the links to the Microsoft Store. From there, right-click on any app or game that you don’t want to use and then click on Uninstall if you see it there. If not, just select Unpin from Start.

Remove Microsoft Apps on Windows 10
Deleting the Microsoft’s and apps and games in Windows 10 is much more complicated. Although they stay in the installed apps and games list, you are not able to remove them. That’s because Microsoft states that the features depend on these apps, and removing them would break them.
However, there is an app that can help you remove the Microsoft apps, called 10AppsManager. This free software allows you to easily get rid of the pre-installed apps on Windows 10. Just take note that, you won’t be able to take these apps working again unless you reinstall Windows 10.
Before getting started further, make sure to back up all your files so that you can restore those files if something goes wrong after the removal of the preinstalled apps.
- First, download 10AppsManager software from here. Take look at a pop-up at the button and then click on Open instead of Save.
- Once the download is done and the folder opens, drag and drop the 10AppsManager file to your Desktop.
- Launch the 10AppsManager app. Windows 10 will then ask you to confirm for opening the app.
- Now, just select all the pre-installed Windows 10 apps that you want to remove. If you don’t want any of these apps to appear, click on Remove All button
Generally, if you want to use any apps from the Microsoft Store or keep your computer updated, you should not remove the Store app.
