In my previous article, I informed you that Google’s forthcoming Android OS, the Android M is on development stage and is getting ready for the Android lovers. Also we informed you that developer version of the Operating System has been brought to you (for the LG G3 users) in form of Custom ROM by the XDA Developers. In that article we had informed you that the Custom ROM was specifically meant for testing purpose and not for regular use since the ROM is still under developing stage.
Interestingly, now the Android M Custom ROM is also available for the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, or Nexus 9 handset users who can test the features of this forthcoming OS on their handsets. Of course the Android M is not going to be made available for public with many major transitions that was witnessed in the journey from Android KitKat to Lollipop. But for sure the new ROM will carry few features that will be quite eye-catchy and fun making.
One such feature is the System UI tuner which is newly added to the Android M OS & you can find it in the Android M developer options menu. This System UI tuner can be used to customize the Quick Settings tiles, that means you can drag, drop, erase or add tiles on the screen of your handset. In case of any issues, you can restore Quick Settings to default. The Quick Settings tiles are not new for many Android OEMs. But here we do talk of a feature that is natively integrated in the OS.
Because the System UI tuner is under development now, so you might face issues while using it. For instance one of the tiles may break while you will try to remove that. But there is nothing to worry because you can can solve the issue with restoration of the Quick Settings option. The bugs on this new OS is gradually polished and it will be absolutely ready for the users by the time it hits the floor for the users.
So if you use this preview version on your handset, then forget not to share with us how you liked the Android M Preview version and the Quick Settings feature.
