Android 7.0 Nougat official update rolled for LG G5 in South Korea

Hello LG G5 users! A great news for you that LG has started rolling out for LG G5 Android 7.0 Nougat update to its users in South Korea. Launched earlier this year, LG G5 is the first non-Google device to receive the update to Android 7.0 Nougat.

LG V20 is the first smartphone of this Korean company runs Android 7.0 Nougat, but G5 is the first non-Google smartphone on the world to get the update from Marshmallow to Nougat. Although Android 7.0 Nougat update for LG G5 is just being rolled out in South Korea, this update will be available for G5 users in “the Americas, Asia, and other markets” in just after a few weeks.

LG G5 Android 7.0 Nougat: the first non-Google Marshmallow smartphone to get the update

LG allowed users to experience the latest Android 7.0 Nougat earlier this year. Following this preview offer, the company has officially started the Nougat rollout process. Android 7.0 Nougat on G5 will bring a number of enhance improvements, security updates, and many new features, including the long-awaited multi-window support like on Nexus devices.

It sports a 5.3-inch QHD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad core processor with GPU Adreno 530 inside. The device owns standard lens 16MP with OIS, wide-angle 8MP camera on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. A fingerprint sensor is on the back below the camera. G5 is one of at least flagships smartphones that can remove the battery for replacement.

LG didn’t miss the chance to talk about its commitment to upgrading Android devices in a timely manner, when can be called the “differentiating” factor in the “smartphone space”. Samsung has just started to offer preview, but it is delayed the release to later this year.
