The droid world is sure to see some newbies in its sparkling list of mega-selling smart phones. The fact of excitement, however, is that these new entrants have been designed to be wallet-friendly. Electronics giant Samsung has confirmed the release of four new affordable smart phones: Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Core 2, Galaxy Young 2 and Galaxy Star 2. The Galaxy Ace 4 has already been unveiled according to latest reports and the rest three successors of, perhaps, the best selling affordable smart phone releases Samsung has ever seen, will hit the global market very soon.
It will certainly be great at this point to check out the features in store for each of these smart phones that are soon to hit the droid platform.
Galaxy Ace 4
The just unveiled Galaxy Ace 4 has come with a display of 4.5 inches. Endowed with 1.0 GHz dual-core processor, the star attraction of this handset is the TouchWiz Essence interface along with the android KitKat it is available in. Though it can be partly guessed that TouchWiz is a simplified portion of the TouchWiz interface, it is still an unexplained feature that only time will unfold. The design is pretty much like the usual Ace design with a new textured finish on the rear.
Nothing much is out yet on the specifications of it however.
Galaxy Core 2
The next in the queue is the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 which is specification-wise more powerful than the rest newbies. With a 4.5” WVGA display and a 1,2GHz quad-core processor, it is also powered with 768 MB of RAM, 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera, 4 GB expandable memory and a 2000mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Core II offers fast 3G connectivity with 21Mbps downlink. It is a dual-SIM phone with Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio and GPS with GLONASS and has android KitKat running in it.
Though there is not much to look forward to in the specifications it provides, the unannounced price can be a big factor to give this a chance. This will be available in white and black hues.
Galaxy Young 2
Samsung Galaxy Young 2 is a tiny tot, literally, for smart phone standards with 3.5″ HVGA display. Powered by a 1.0GHz single-core processor, it comes with half a gig RAM, 4GB expandable memory, a 3MP fixed-focus rear camera, and a 1,300 mAh battery. It carries the same connectivity features as the core II and has KitKat 4.4 running in it. It will be available in white and charcoal colours.
Not much of a personality for a smart phones but again, we can say, the price may play the right cards for it.
Galaxy Star 2
The Galaxy Star was quite impressive for the price it came in and the features it provided. Its successor, the Galaxy Star 2 is pretty much the same as the Young 2 model but it skips the 3G connectivity and demotes the rear camera to 2MP. The rest is the same – a 3.5″ HVGA display, a 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage with a microSD slot. It will come in White and iris charcoal colours and will have Android 4.4 running in it too.
